Policy Statement

We are firmly commited to providing a health, safe work place for its employee, to promoting a clean environment for the public, and to compliying with all laws and regulations governing these areas.

The primary responsibility for meeting this objective rests with the managegment of the operating groups and divisions.

The corporate Health, Environment and Safety Department will be responsible for overall policy and program development; for assisting operating groups in developing specific programs, procedures, and equipment; for conducting health, safety and environmental reviews of operating facilities to assure compliance throught the company with all appropriate laws and regulations; for analyzing and distributing information on pending and enacted laws and regulations; and under direction of the Law Department, for investigating major accidents.
